Our cultural inclusions work focuses on the relationships between heritage of race, identity, and belonging for the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) community in Bristol. Recent local and national events have thrust into the spotlight the complicated nature of race and racism, nation, citizenship, inequality, and belonging in the UK, and at the centre of many of these debates are the BAME community.
The projects we deliver in this area are designed to explore these issues with BAME communities to develop insight and growth, but also to enhance the self-confidence and pride of the community. Additionally, they deliver education and awareness raising initiatives to the wider White British community and contribute to community cohesion and mutual respect.
