  • Junction 3 Library Lower Ashley Road Bristol, England United Kingdom (map)

INVITATION TO WORKSHOP

As part of the ongoing process of improving relations between the police and local Black and Minority Ethnic communities, on Friday 2 June 2017 BSWN hosted a Round-Table Meeting between Police & Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens and leaders from the local Muslim communities in the aftermath of the terrorist incident in Manchester when 23 people lost their lives and many more were injured. You can read the notes of that meeting athttp://bit.ly/2vF4Qao .

Some of the key outcomes were:-
1. A need for further round table meetings with the PCC;
2. The development of an action plan to address some of the key issues raised;
3. A workshop to explore a community led approach to addressing challenging facing the community

As a result BSWN has organised a further event:

A Workshop to be led by Dr Therese O’Toole (University of Bristol) who has researched and written extensively on radicalisation. She will share key findings from her most recent research at Junction 3 Library on Wednesday 20th September 2017 from 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.

We hope that you will be able to join us for the workshop,
