  • The Charity Commission, the charity regulator for England and Wales, has launched a new set of simple, easy to understand guides, designed to help trustees run their charities in line with the law. You can read about it HERE

  • A 24/7 helpline – 0800 012 6549 – is also available for people in Bristol to get immediate emotional and practical mental health support. More information HERE

  • The Screwfix Foundation has small grants of up to £5,000 for charities and not-for-profit organisations to repair, maintain, improve or build housing and community buildings. Applications are reviewed every quarter.

  • Do you need children's resources - free maths, learning activities, and games? Head to BBC Bitesize, Busy Things, or GoNoodle.

  • CheckUp Health is offering Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people who have High Blood Pressure(HBP) and/or Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) free devices and support to monitor their blood pressure and blood sugar levels from the comfort of their own home. For more information and click HERE

  • Are you looking to step up into leadership? The award-winning diversity leadership programme Stepping Up is now open: made for people from Black, Asian, and Ethnic Minority communities, women, and disabled people who live and work in South West. You can sign up HERE

  • Community Matters has published a report warning of the 'potential crisis' faced by charities running community spaces, due to the impact of coronavirus. The report, called How Many of Us Had Pandemic in Our Risk Register?, can be accessed online.

  • British Red Cross refugee services in Bristol are asking for donations to help provide for destitute refugees and asylum seekers over the winter months. You can donate HERE

  • If you picked up a COVID-19 community surge testing kit from one of Bristol or South Gloucestershire Collect and Drop sites, it is important that you register your test within 24 hours of taking the test and return it as soon as possible. You can register your test HERE

  • The Runnymede Trust is currently coordinating a shadow report assessing the Government’s implementation of the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD), on behalf of civil society organisations. They are seeking evidence from civil society organisations, academics, and institutions to shape the report. This is a national effort to help meet urgent additional care staffing requirements.
