Why us your business and who do you support?

Hi! We are Caafi Health (pronounced aah-fi) and we are a Community Interest Company (CIC) which is focused on supporting the various communities of Bristol to overcome the many health and social inequalities that affect them. As health professionals we support the underserved communities of Bristol with advocacy and empowerment strategies, and we collaborate with groups and individuals to co-create innovative and inclusive solutions to ‘open-up’ their access to main-stream and specialist health services, as a path to better wellbeing for all.

Why do you want to be setup in the Coach House?

The Coach House is in the heart of Bristol Inner City and as such is perfectly placed for us to see people in our office, or to utilise it as a base from which we go and ‘reach out’ to the community. It is a thriving hub of different cultural, social, health and wellbeing offerings, and is a great place to network from. The central physical location makes it so easy for service users and staff to drop-in and this ease of access is one of those barriers that we aim to remove everywhere. Having the opportunity to create the sort of space, the physical niche, that feels comfortable and welcoming to our service users and staff has been exactly what we needed in the first 6months of working. We have been able to develop very fast as an organisation and having the security of such a suitable office set-up has contributed to this immensely. We were able to simply move in and ‘hit the ground running’, we have been running ever since!
